repost from nini.

...

i have an odd affinity for grass and grassy areas. yes. i'm odd that way. and ever since i got back from europe and the states, i never really had my secret longing to sit down on the grass in some random area satiated. mostly because there really aren't any decent parks around here. which frustrates me a lot by the way. i can't really say that my perfect day would be lounging in some park with cy or a book since that kind of thing never really happens. at least not in cainta. or in the greater manila area! HAHAHAHA. the fort has some promising spots here and there. but they never really developed them into parks-parks. and the grass has bits of gravel. so it's not really butt-friendly. i remember this one time when we sat by the helipad in front of barcino. we ended up getting insect-bitten. so much for glamour on the grass. hahaha!

for the longest time, andrea and i have been half-planning about a cheese-wine picnic somewhere. it was supposed to be last friday. but since i had to leave early for tagaytay, we ended up doing it indoors. fun fun night though! the dynamics was finally promising. after a looooong while. which made me happy. hehe. anyway. yesterday, we finally made it happen! a little haphazardly done. but it's all good! spontaneity is always the key! planning is a tricky bitch. it never really pushes through. playing it by ear is always the way to go! (okay. too much exclamation points already! hahaha.) so we went to a park somewhere in salcedo. got us a sushi platter and yakisoba from kitaro. and we were happy bitches on the grass.

hard to believe a street in makati can remain traffic-free on a friday night.

my park. my pebble!

park with a little touch of the concrete jungle. (tin's pic.)

hunger makes you do things. it was surreal.

yey! food! they're our dinner-benefactors for the night. i'll forever be in debt.

theme for the night: grass. even our sushi had grass!

it's all about meeting new people. D. Trisha. Nina. Ands. Tin's hand.

met ands' friends. they're great interesting people i would like to go out with again. :) although i think i was a little too giddy again. i don't know what's up with me and getting all shit-less talkative around new people. it's moody though. either i get insanely chit-chatty or i clam up. the latter is never welcome. haha. so anyway, nina had to leave early cos she had another party to attend to. one that didn't involve grass. well. we'll never know. hehe. we had a lot of sushi left. clean ones. so we packed it good and gave it to kuya guard in the park. he was all smiles. i forgot to take his picture. damn.

we left the place clean. except for that one piece of sushi that fell on the ground. well. it blended in. it felt like such a shame to yank it out of its comfort zone. so anyway. we felt the need for some sonja's cupcake to cap the night off. so we were off to serendra. it was weird having to go out of our way just to pick some cupcakes up. but yes. it's that good. unfortunately, when we got there, it was an epic heartbreak. no.more.red.velvet. *tear* it was unfathomable. sonja's. no red velvet. it didn't sound right. we all just ended up picking up whatever was on the cupcake shelves. which weren't that bad anyway. got me a cupcake for someone. hihi. after fort, we drove to sta. mesa to drop D and trisha off. they're good people.

...

the rest of the night was memorable. i'm not sure though how i'll put it down. well. first. we (andrea, tin, and myself) drove to paragon building. side note, kurt hurt his side mirror. i was too busy looking for a way to get to paragon that i wasn't paying attention to my right side mirror anymore. so the genius that i was, i accidentally hit the side mirror of the car beside us. didn't mean it though. the guy in the car let me off quite easily. didn't even make a fuss out of it. anyway, so we finally got to paragon. jitters all over. anxiety-drowning moment. stayed outside for a while. then we decided to park in the basement parking. we asked in the lobby and did a lousy job of assuming. LOUSY JOB. hahaha! so bad that we were stuck in the second floor waiting for someone that didn't exist in that crappy of a company! funny though. the door sign said to only "speak english". so when we got inside, we did exactly as told. the guard didn't understand us. we were stuck there waiting for a little over half an hour only to realize he wasn't there.

it was starting to look like an epic BV night. a handful of unanswered texts and calls. creepy street. and a not-so-helpful guard. we were ready to call it a night but decided to give it til 1am. BEST DECISION OF THE NIGHT! hahahaha! fifteen minutes later, boy in red in 7-11. tin jumps out of the car and pulls another happy and anxious boy in red out of the car to walk to 7-11. she's mommy-esque that way. then hi's and hello's. a quick walk along (yes, ALONG) edsa towards starbucks. a happy caramel macchiato. and that's it.
that's all i'm gonna say about that. :)

last night was gv. gv, alright. :D
